Addison Central Teens seeks Program Assistants. We are offering a part time position (between 3-6 hours weekly) to support our open hours. This is a great way to spend some quality, low pressure time with youth!

The basic duties of our Program Assistants include:

  • Snack prep

  • Basic setup and cleanup duties (putting out food and supplies, sweeping up, dishes at the end of the day)

  • Unstructured mentorship of youth

  • Supervision of teens

  • Playing games and hanging out with kids!

Working in this role, you'll be spending time with youth, whether that's playing pool and basketball, coloring together, or just sitting and chatting. This is a laid-back position, emphasizing being a positive adult presence in youths' lives.

This is an off-campus position. Hours will be between 2:00-6:30 weekdays; the day(s) of the week are dependent on the student's schedule. We do emphasize consistency with the kids, so the weekday will be set at the beginning of each semester.

Students at the College have many opportunities to work with us and get to know the broader Middlebury community. We usually have new opportunities each Fall for both paid Work-Study opportunities as well as unpaid volunteers. We are not currently hiring for student staff, but you are welcome to contact us below and we will get in touch when we are.

Addison Central Teens seeks a Gaming Intern. We are looking for someone to support our gaming club, and work with youth whose after school focus is video games. This position would be approximately 3-6 hours per week.

The Gaming Intern's responsibilities would include

  • Supporting our gaming club (in the past this has been a weekly League of Legends game with teens)

  • If the intern has this skill set, we also hope to have a new "Dungeon Master" to continue our popular Dungeons and Dragons sessions. This is not a required part of this position.

  • Provide a positive adult presence in the space

Our ideal intern is experienced with a wide variety of video games, as well as tabletop and roleplaying games, although video games are the most important. This intern will also be comfortable mentoring youth.

This position is entirely on-site at the Teen Center, and the hours will be between 3-6pm weekdays. The day of the week is dependent on the intern's schedule; however, consistency is critical, and the day will be set at the beginning of the semester.
